History
MITE Ministries was founded by Brad & Karen Hanson and has been ministering the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ for over over 10 years in Russia and other nations in Europe and Eastern Europe. This organization has planted churches, helped Chechen refugees, trained leadership and established a Russian Christian television program in the Northern Caucasus region of southern Russia.
Shortly after their conversion over 30 years ago, Brad & Karen began ministering in local prisons. Brother Mike Zwadlo invited them to the Washington State Reformatory to see the Church behind the walls. there they saw the real power of the Holy Spirit alive in these people. Brad then went to Haiti with Brother Mike in the early 1980's. Brad's son Daniel accompanied him at the age of thirteen to Haiti.
Brad went on many short trips to Haiti and then on to the Philippines. Karen also ministered in the Philippines. Together they took a group of young students there in 1988.
Brad, Karen and their three children, Daniel, Jonathan & Jennifer went on their first missionary trip as a family to Vologda, Russia in 1992 for three months. They also went to Saratov, Russia in 1994 for three months.
M.I.T.E Ministries began in 1995 when Brad & Karen planted a church in southern Russia with another missionary organization. The leader of that organization called his missionaries back from Russia and redirected his missionary focus. Brad & Karen felt led of GOD to continue the work in Russia. GOD spoke to Brad in a vision during a worship service as he was pondering what to do. The Lord showed him that he, Brad, was in a Sputnik and the Lord said,
"Open the hatch and step out!" He understood that it was time to start their own ministry. Brad's sister, Cher, was their first secretary and really helped with the initial formation of the ministry. Thanks so much, Cher! Today, M.I.T.E. Ministries has a vibrant board of dedicated people as they continue to move forward with their vision.
Their heart for missions combined with the call of GOD on their lives led to an increased work for Brad & Karen in southern Russia. There they started four Churches, ministered to Chechen
refugees and began television ministry that is continuing today and even being broadcast on a Russian speaking global satellite network. The door has been temporarily closed for them to re-enter Russia. The ministry there continues under the leaders they have trained up. There are even several Churches in muslim villages in that same area. PTL!
Brad & Karen have recently ministered in the Ukraine, Austria & Croatia. They will soon be going to Sri Lanka with the International Prayer Force Ministry. The message of salvation through the Life of Jesus Christ the Lord, GOD's only Son must be preached to all the nations before His return! (Matthew 24:14) We must encourage the people of GOD to actively participate in global prayer for the gospel to be preached throughout the earth.
They are continuing to work with the Churches in Russia and branch out throughout the world to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom. Their vision is to train up and encourage other ministries in the LORD. We have such an unlimited supply of the Power of the Holy Spirit to make a difference and turn our world upside down today. We must work while it is yet day to bring in the end-time harvest of souls for the Kingdom. (John 9:4)
They are also active in ministry here in Churches in America and are available to minister wherever called. Karen has a prophetic prayer anointing. Brad has been an associate pastor in Lynnwood for several years , also a pastor of a church in Russia for a number of years, and also been active in prison ministry in Monroe, Washington for over twenty years.
We welcome you to join with us in ministry throughout the world, through active participation, prayer and financial giving. GOD is calling His Church to mobilize, destroy the works of the devil and set the captives free!
1 Corinthians 15:58 "Therefore my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."
